DOE Formula Grants to the States

DOE provides grants to the states to support their energy priorities through the State Energy Program (SEP). Congress has set certain requirements for states to obtain SEP grants, including writing an energy emergency plan and procuring energy efficient equipment for state agencies. States must match the grants with funding of their own amounting to 20% of the DOE contribution. Find the specifics in DOE's grant guidance documents.

States summarize the activities they will undertake with DOE grant funding according to market sectors and SEP topics. You can read a general outline of each state's activities organized by state and by topic for each year back to 2000.
