U.S. Department of Energy's Solar Decathlon

The Solar Decathlon joins 20 college and university teams in a competition to design, build, and operate the most attractive and energy-efficient solar-powered house.


The U.S Department of Energy's Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy is the primary sponsor of the Solar Decathlon.


2009 Solar Decathlon Teams Announced

The teams for the next Solar Decathlon have been selected and are already hard at work. The next Solar Decathlon will take place in the fall of 2009 on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. See the full list of teams and watch this site for more details in the coming months.
