Hawaii Clean Energy Initiative
Ongoing since January 2008 — Hawaii and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) signed a Memorandum of Understanding aiming to have 70% of all of Hawaii's energy usage supplied by renewable energy by the year 2030.
K-12 Energy Lesson Plans and Activities
Ongoing since October 2007 — A collection of more than 350 science lesson plans, free for use by all K-12 teachers who want to teach their students about renewable energy and energy efficiency.
Biomass Technologies
People's Republic of China: Biomass Memorandum of Understanding
December 2007 — The United States and the People's Republic of China agreed to work together to promote the research and development of biomass resources.
Federal Energy Management
TEAM Initiative
Ongoing since February 2008 — The Transformational Energy Action Management (TEAM) Initiative is DOE's plan to meet or exceed a 30% reduction in energy usage and a 16% reduction in water usage in all DOE facilities by fiscal year 2009.

Solar America Cities
Ongoing since November 2007 — Solar America Cities, part of the Solar America Initiative, works to accelerate the adoption of solar technology at the local level. This site provides information about funding opportunities.
Solar America Initiative
Ongoing since April 2007 — The Solar America Initiative aims to make solar energy cost-competitive with traditional energy sources by 2015.
Utility Solar Water Heating Initiative (USH2O)
Ongoing since January 2006 — The Utility Solar Water Heating Initiative is a coalition of utilities and the solar thermal industry that encourages solar water heating programs and solar thermal technologies.
