Program description: The Hudson Valley Technology Development Center (HVTDC) helps small to medium-sized manufacturers, businesses, inventors, and entrepreneurs in the seven-county Hudson Valley area become more competitive in the marketplace. HVTDC provides direct assistance or locates outside resources to help with business development, operations, sales and marketing, workforce development, technology advancement and integration, and entrepreneurial initiatives.
HVTDC is a non-profit organization funded in part by the New York State Office of Science, Technology and Academic Research (NYSTAR). Founded in 1988, HVTDC also receives funding from the United States Department of Commerce.
Though HVTDC receives support from state and federal agencies, this funding is not guaranteed into the future and is not sufficient to cover the operating costs of the Center. Consequently, HVTDC charges fair-market-value prices for its consulting services, seminars, and other business-support functions.
