It currently operates as a non-profit incubator and is a program of the IC Institute of The University of Texas at Austin. ATI's mission is to provide business resources and professional services that assist its technology startups to compete in the global marketplace. The incubator has hosted technology ventures with interests and business connections in Canada, Brazil, Japan, Australia, England, Germany, China, and Israel. ATI's achievements have prompted several mayors' councils nationwide to send representatives to its facilities to learn more about how to generate business development and revitalize ailing municipal economies.
ATI supports promising high growth companies in a variety of technology-based industries, through a targeted services package which includes strategic advice, access to financing, marketing & PR support, benefits program, mentoring, and turn-key infrastructure. ATI is supported by the University of Texas, the City of Austin, and the Austin community, and works with a variety of investors, a know-how network of professional service providers, outside industry experts, and others, for the benefit of its member companies. Since 1989, ATI has graduated 60 companies including five that have gone public. The Incubator has helped these businesses create more than 2,000 jobs and generate over $900 million in revenue.
