DOE Selects ASE to Manage and Operate its National Renewable Energy Laboratory

RFP FOR NREL COMPETITION

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) announces a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the management and operating (M&O) contract for its National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) in Golden, Colorado, the nation's primary labratory for clean energy research. The competition reflects DOE's commitment to regularly compete its M&O contracts for DOE national laboratories to ensure the greatest possible benefit to DOE, its mission and this Nation. The current contract, which expires on November 8 2008, was last competed in 1998.

U.S. Department of Energy’s Competition of the Contract to Manage and Operate the National Renewable Energy Laboratory

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has announced that it will compete the management and operating (M&O) contract for the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL).

Interested Concerns

To preserve the integrity of the Federal procurement process and assure fair treatment of offerors and contractors. DOE does not endorse the entities included in the file below. The list is provided by DOE as a courtesy to facilitate teaming and small business participation with “Prime Contractor” prospective offerors, who are ultimately responsible for formulating their procurement strategy and compliance with the resulting contact’s terms and conditions. Official procurement information is only found on the Industry Interactive Procurement System (IIPS) Web Site.

Request for Expressions of Interest

Parties interested in participating in the contract are encouraged to complete and submit to DOE a company profile for posting on the Competition website.  DOE offers this service to assist potential team members and subcontractors in networking only, and submission of this information is strictly voluntary.  All networking and resulting arrangements are strictly the responsibility of the parties; DOE will play no role beyond posting the information.  Those interested in having their company profiles posted to the website at http://www.eere.energy.gov/golden/NREL_CMO.aspx should submit them to Eileen Jemison at Eileen.jemison@golden.doe.gov no later than 5 p.m. Mountain Standard Time 22 February, 2008.  Documents should be no greater than 2 pages in length.
