Clean Cities

What we do Support public-private partnerships that deploy alternative fuel vehicles (AFVs) and build supporting infrastructure. To maximize their resources, community revitalization efforts often combine energy solutions for transportation and buildings.

EnergySmart Schools

What we do Part of Rebuild America, EnergySmart Schools works with school districts to introduce energy-saving design features and improvements to the physical school environment, and to promote and support energy education in schools.
Who we work with School boards, administrators, facility managers, faculty, parents, and students. EnergySmart Schools partners include nonprofit organizations, government agencies, trade associations, businesses and community groups.

Federal Energy Management Program

What we do Work to reduce the cost and environmental impacts of the Federal government by advancing energy efficiency and water conservation, promoting the use of distributed and renewable energy, and improving utility management decisions at Federal sites.
Who we work with Federal agencies, national laboratories, DOE regional offices, universities, private contractors, small businesses, and state governments

State Energy Programs

What we do Administer state formula grants and special projects grants that help to move new energy technologies from the laboratory to communities across the country.
Who we work with Federal grants are provided to states. States leverage federal funding with non-federal dollars and administer program funding based on local needs and priorities.
