The 2007 EVHA (Energy Value Housing Award) winners are unveiled at the EVHA Dinner Ceremony held during the 2007 International Builders' Show (IBS)—the world's largest annual construction tradeshow. The ceremony is a semi-formal affair that includes a presentation on the winners building practices, addresses from key industry leaders, and networking with EVHA judges, winners, and sponsors. The EVHA Winner Magazine is a snapshot of the best practices from the 2007 EnergyValue Housing Award (EVHA) winners. EVHA is done in partnership with NAHB Research Center.

Now in its twelfth year, the EVHA is the nation's preeminent energy efficiency award honoring builders who voluntarily incorporate energy efficiency into all aspects of new home construction. Builders across the nation submit detailed applications in any of five categories (Affordable, Custom, Factory-Built, Multifamily, or Production) in one of three climate regions (Cold, Moderate, Hot). A panel of industry experts evaluates the applications and selects winners based on Energy Value, Design, Construction, Marketing and Customer Relations, and Energy Programs.

EVHA winners also participate in EVHA educational outreach during the IBS. The EVHA is funded primarily through the U.S. Department of Energy's Building America program and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory with additional support from private-sector sponsors.
