The Building Science Consortium is a multi-disciplinary team with extensive experience in building systems integration that works under the U.S. Department of Energy's Building America Program on a cost-shared basis.
Building Science uses systems engineering techniques to provide cost and performance trade-offs and housing production innovations that improve whole building performance while reducing overall building cost. The objective of Building Science is to re-engineer the residential home-building industry through development, commercialization, dissemination, and acceptance of systems engineering approaches. The goal is to produce advanced building technologies applicable to the design, construction, and operation of affordable energy- and resource-efficient buildings that provide quality living environments.
