Purpose: The Department of Energy (DOE) held an informal public meeting that covered the test procedure Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NOPR) for general service fluorescent, incandescent reflector, and general service incandescent lamps and the energy conservation standard Advance Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (ANOPR) for general service fluorescent lamps and incandescent reflector lamps. This public meeting gave DOE an opportunity to present its proposals in the test procedure NOPR, the methodology analyses prepared for the energy conservation standard ANOPR, and to respond to stakeholder's questions. The meeting also enabled DOE to outline its plans for the remaining energy conservation standard analyses and to seek input from stakeholders on its planned methodologies, assumptions, and data sources. The agenda for the public meeting first covered the test procedure NOPR and then the energy conservation standard ANOPR, continuing on the following day, March 11, 2008.
