Flexible Fuel Vehicle Conversions
Converting a conventional gasoline vehicle to run on E85 is technically possible, and many companies are advertising the availability of conversions. However, there are no conversion manufacturers that have obtained a certificate of conformity from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The certification process may involve EPA testing of converted vehicles prior to issuing the certificate and certification applies only to the listed vehicles, not the conversion system by itself. Using non-certified conversions are illegal and may affect warranties. To learn more about alternative fuel vehicle conversions, go to the Conversions page.
