The Arizona legislature meets annually from mid-January to late April. During the session, the governor must sign or veto legislation within five days of the day after transmittal (except Sundays) or it becomes law without signature. If legislation is transmitted with less than five days remaining in the session, the governor must act within 10 days of the day after transmittal (except Sundays) or the legislation becomes law without signature.
