The application period opens on July 1 of every year; grants are not available for idle reduction equipment purchased or installed prior to July 1 in the year the application is submitted. The program will award $2 million per year in grants for the 2007-2008 and 2008-2009 award periods, and $1 million per year in grants for the 2009-2010 and 2010-2011 award periods.
