Funding Opportunities
Funding or incentives for installing new equipment or converting existing petroleum equipment to E85 and educating flexible fuel vehicle drivers may be available through programs operated through your state energy office and/or local Clean Cities coalitions. The Ethanol Promotion and Information Council (EPIC) and the National Ethanol Vehicle Coalition (NEVC) may also have opportunities for you.
In addition to possible project funding, other E85 incentives may be available in your area. These can include, but may not be limited to, income tax credits and lower state road tax rates that are based on energy content rather than the metered volumetric gallon of fuel.
Federal Incentives:
There is a mechanism in place so that owners can claim an infrastructure tax credit for installing alternative fueling infrastructure. To learn more about the tax credit, go to the AFDC's Federal Ethanol Incentives and Laws page.
State incentives for installing or converting stations to E85:
To learn more, go to The Ethanol Incentives and Laws page where you can do a State Search for E85 Incentives and Laws.
